Anneliese is a photographer based in Napier NZ. She runs a commercial photography business (Studio Café Noir) with her partner Guillaume. Her artwork often blends together old and new techniques. It is not unusual for an image to go from camera to computer and then to the darkroom. Anneliese describes her work as being romantic, feminine and often a little voyeuristic. The Venus delivers series is based on a dream Anneliese had, where women in black bikinis floated from the sky with orange umbrellas, dropping seeds onto a city below.
